Supporting Kongshan Monastery 【Evergreen Field of Merit · Sustaining the Sangha's Path】

To support one Dharma master in peaceful study and practice is to potentially nurture the Dharma-body and wisdom-life of countless beings.
The Buddha taught that the Sangha is the supreme field of merit in the world. Making offerings to the Triple Gem not only enables the monastic community to propagate the true Dharma, but also accumulates vast merit and virtue for oneself and one's family.
📖 As recorded in the Sūtra of the Wise and the Foolish:
The bhikkhu Ratnadeva was once a poor man with no wealth. Yet with great faith, he made offerings to the Sangha. Even though what he offered were only ordinary stones, because his aspiration was pure and his reverence utterly sincere, he was rewarded with ninety-one eons of blessings and happiness, and ultimately encountered the Buddha and attained the fruit of sagehood.
From this we understand: The karmic fruit of making offerings to a pure field of merit is inconceivable. Merit does not lie in the quantity of what is given, but in the sincerity of the intention behind it.
Today, the resident monastic community of Kongshan Monastery, USA is settled here in practice and study. Currently, 10 monastics are in peaceful residence; each year, more than 100 monastics travel to and from the monastery to hold meditation retreats, Dharma assemblies, camps, and Dharma propagation activities — benefiting countless sentient beings.
When one monastic practices in peace, many lives are touched. When one monastery stands in the world, countless hearts are illuminated.
